- Who is this guy?
I’ve worked as an online copywriter and editor since 2000. From writers’ guidelines and policies to feature articles, email newsletters to e-commerce website content and organization, I have experience in many industries and projects. My specialties include online copywriting and editing, email marketing and social media management.
The great thing about copywriting is that its principles apply to any industry: get your organization, products or services in front of the people who need them, and increase traffic, sales and market share.
Fees vary by project type, scope and project timeline. My rates are reasonable. I focus on providing outstanding value, a satisfied customer, and good results for the project.
Depending on the project, I’ll charge by the hour, word or by the project. All projects receive a free estimate and include revisions. No hidden extras.
Timeline varies depending on the project. If you have a deadline in mind, include that in your inquiry, and I’ll tell you if it’s a doable timeframe. If I take on your project, I do guarantee that you’ll have your copy within the agreed timeframe.
I focus on you not needing a rush job in the first place: when you have an idea that you need outside help with copywriting, editing and other online marketing or social media, please contact me. We’ll get ahead of the curve, and then you won’t have to worry about rush jobs.
Typically, I don’t take on rush jobs. Good work takes time, and I only take on projects if I can deliver the quality of work that you need and that I consider my best work. That’s what you deserve.
Also, I’m usually in the middle of other projects and assignments, and those good folks need their copy delivered on time too.
My fees include the work needed to fulfill the project, usually including research, discussions with client and other information sources, data review, meetings, copywriting, on-page SEO (search engine optimization), revision and incidental expenses.
I do a lot of work on the front-end of a project to make you happy with the first draft. However, revisions sometimes are needed. All my copywriting projects include up to 2 rounds of revision at no extra charge, provided they are within the original brief and assigned within 14 days of your receipt of the first draft. You tell me the changes, and I’ll make the fixes, fast.
It’s impossible to predict or guarantee how many leads or sales copy will generate for you, or how your copy will rank in search engines such as Google or Bing. No reputable copywriter would claim to be able to.
My copy and content management work gets strong results for clients, but your mileage may vary.
What I do guarantee is that I deliver quality copy and fulfill your project on time, on message and on budget.
Some projects don’t require a deposit, some do. Your free estimate will note if a 50% deposit is required before I can start your project.
You could do it yourself, sure… but you already have lots to do, and you’ll have to put other tasks on hold while working on your website, newsletter or social media presence. You could also hire an agency, but the cost tends to be higher due to the extra services and overhead that come with an agency. Plus, a lot of copywriting projects don’t need the extra services and overhead of an agency.
My career and experience focus around taking what you need and what you do, and conveying it in plain language to the people who need your products or services. When working with me, you pay only for a specific project, and my rates are reasonable and competitive.
Agencies are great, but sometimes they may be overkill for the copywriting or editing work that you need. Updating your website content, handling your social media updates, writing content for your newsletter, etc., are smaller jobs that can be easier and more affordable to assign to a dedicated copywriter.
Once you’ve paid your bill in full, all rights for the copy I write for you revert to you.
