New collection of fun, fantastical travel short stories
Day trips that fit in your backpack

Over the next 30 days, I’m writing short stories about travel. Think of them as day trips that’ll fit in your backpack. Set in the same travel fantasy/urban fantasy world as my forthcoming novel, these stories will bring you adventurous, enticing and sometimes even funny travel tales.
The challenge: Write a 50,000-word novel in one month
I’m writing this travel story collection as part of the write-a-novel-in-a-month NaNoWriMo, or National Novel Writing Month. Held every November, NaNoWriMo challenges writers around the world to write a 50,000-word novel during the month of November (or 1,667 words per day). After successfully completing NaNoWriMo in 2001, 2005 and 2008, this year will be my fourth time taking on the challenge.
And I’m going to win.
New e-book coming soon to your e-reader
Some of my NaNoWriMo books have been destined for the desk drawer. One I may never touch again. The second will most likely be developed down the road, and the third is the novel I’m working on now. This fourth and latest book will be the first I take to publication, with the novel following.
After its completion by Nov. 30, I plan to refine and revise my NaNoWriMo project for publication as an e-book. Details and updates will unfold on the blog.
Over the next 30 days
Keep an eye on the Antsaint blog for the latest updates on this NaNoWriMo adventure. I’ll be posting regular updates about this project, and a new fantasy world created in the spirit of Douglas Adams, Tom Robbins and Terry Pratchett.
