On March 6, the first day of the annual Eugene Irish Cultural Festival (EICF), you can enjoy an evening concert of Traditional Irish Music and Dance.
When & Where: 8 p.m., Friday, March 6, Beall Concert Hall, University of Oregon
The concert is offered in collaboration with the University of Oregon's School of Music & Dance's World Music Series, and includes:
- Chulrua – Paddy O'Brien (button accordion, grew up in Ireland), Patrick Ourcea (fiddle, grew up in France and is a highly respected fiddler of Irish music) & Pat Egan (guitar and vocals, grew up in Ireland) – www.chulrua.com
- Gerry Carthy – Plays many instruments and sings grew up in Ireland – www.gerrycarthy.com
- Maldon Meehan – Traditional Irish dancer. Maldon is a performer, teacher and scholar of Irish Sean-nós and set dancing. She has a BA in Irish Studies/Theatre Arts from Evergreen State College and a MA in Ethnochoreology from the University of Limerick, Ireland
