Novel in a month is nuts, but it sounds good at parties
In short, in 29 days (or 27, if you include 2 “days off”), I wrote a novel. It was for the National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo.
It’s a competition of sorts; you aren’t competing with anyone else (unless you want to, I suppose); you are only challenging yourself. There is no prize, except that at the end of November, you can say you wrote a 50,000-word novel.
