Enjoying all that summer harvest goodness? What’s that? So much produce you can’t eat it all? Time to start canning. Here are some basics:

  1. i am wanting to can salas using tomatoes, peppers, onions, and galic,,, do i just need to do a hot water bath or pressure cook them??? ty

  2. Far as I’m aware, you can do up those in recipes that work with hot water bath canning. Check with your area extension office for tested recipes and safety tips. Here’s Lane County’s:

    The main thing is to make sure you have the right recipe, and your extension service can give you some good advice.
