Cafe Maroc Open in Downtown Eugene

A Moroccan/African-themed restaurant in Eugene? Sure, why not. And when it comes from Adam Bernstein of Adam’s Place, hey, it’s going to be a neat concept. We’re looking forward to trying the place out:

"Cuisine remains the bottom line for Adam Bernstein, but the Eugene restaurateur wants his latest venture to be known for something more.“It’s more than just dinner; we try to make it as much of an experience as we can,” says Bernstein, who opened Cafe Maroc this month, next-door to his Adam’s Place restaurant at 30 E. Broadway in downtown Eugene"

  1. Anthony, definitely try it out! I was lucky enough to go to the Slow Food preview dinner there (several weeks back, prior to them opening). It was *excellent*! We had five or six courses, and it was all great, and the tea is stellar (fresh mint and all).
I heard that they now have belly dancers (at least some of the time?). I had actually liked that they didn’t (at least for the preview dinner), but hey, whatever, maybe that’s good.

  2. Chris, that’s awesome, glad you got to try it out! I heard something about belly dancers too. I don’t know if it’s a nightly thing or maybe just some nights during the week, but hey, could be cool.
That tea sounds awesome – I think Iraila does something like that too, if memory serves.
