"Early blueberries will be ready the first or second week in July; raspberries in the second week in July and blackberries in the latter part of July"

Hentze's in Junction City had what I suspect was the tail end of the strawberries, plus some absolutely beautiful raspberries last weekend. I didn't see anything about blueberries yet, but I'm not too enthusiastic about picking my own blueberries, although I understand they grow differently here than the wild blueberries I am used to from home. Plus, those are tiny. You rake them instead of picking.

When it comes to blueberries, you have been led astray. We went blueberry picking last summer, and the berries were plump and easy to pluck off one by one. Very, very easy picking, and the berries were amazing. We ate a bunch fresh, and froze a lot more - in fact, we're only just finishing off the last bag, just in time for this season!

Went blueberry picking today, but found it strangely difficult to easily find info on u-pick blueberry farms near Eugene. I wound up at Adkins Farm, which didn't disappoint. Love me some blueberries!
