La Perla Open?
Word on the street is La Perla, the new pizzeria from the folks who run Beppe & Gianni's, is open for business. Is it true? Have you been? What's it like?

I just wandered by there. They are open, but only for dinner. I heard it was packed last night about 7pm. They didn't have a menu posted outside, and though there were people inside they didn't notice me and a couple others hoping to see a menu. So not much to report, except - yes, it's open, and yes it sure looks beautiful.

I just saw it was open and stopped by. They didn't have any extra menus to hand out, but I read over the one posted by the door and it looks nice. The price point seems a little high for Eugene, but its in the vein of B&G, so that is expected.
I'm eager to eat there and get an idea of the service and food. The interior is beautiful and ~8pm on June 30th it was packed.

Thank you both. I actually wound up there on Friday night (June 27) for a friend's bachelor shindig. Good, good pizza. Airy, bright open design - you can see the food being made, pizzas put in the oven, all that.
Don't let the price points on the menu put you off. The pizzas are a decent size (12"-14", something like that), and we were all very happy with the meal. I'm working on a general write-up about it, which hopefully I can tack up this week. Please drop a line if you go!
