First the house, then the motorcycle
Want to know what's really funny about this house thing? In addition to my tax returns, my continuing search for a motorcycle has fed into this desire to be a homeowner. Something, I think passed down from my Harley-loving dad, makes me refuse to park a motorcycle outside. Especially a lightweight one. Especially during an Oregon winter.
Babies and motorcycles should not sleep in the driveway
A motorcycle must have a garage. I see bikes parked outside here, and they always look worse for wear. Uncared for. It's like making a baby sleep in the driveway. It's just wrong.
Though on the flipside, it is funny that a $3,000 bike now has me wanting to spending hundreds of thousands of someone's else's money on a home, but be that as it may...
A Rebel reward for my home reward
Be it in the next months, six months, year, whatever, I'm buying a house. With a garage, for a Rebel. A home (at least in many ways) may be its own reward... but a motorcycle is the reward for the reward.
